Our Locanda is part of Villa Sandi, one of the world’s leading wineries for Prosecco and the Italian metodo classico. The winery takes its name from the splendid Palladian-style villa in Crocetta del Montello, a building dating back to 1622 and now the company’s headquarters. Here, among underground galleries and fascinating barrel cellars, a winemaking tradition continues that has captured international tastes.
A family, a land, a story to cultivate
Villa Sandi is the result of an unbreakable bond between land, tradition, and innovation. Since the first vineyards in the 1920s, the Moretti Polegato family, for four generations, has cultivated the culture of wine with dedication and vision.
Today, the tradition is carried on by Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, together with his wife Augusta and their children Diva and Leonardo, who are at the forefront of promoting the region and innovating with a focus on excellence and sustainability in viticulture.
The taste of high quality
The Villa Sandi range of wine is broad and diverse: from Prosecco in all its most prestigious denominations to the sparkling wines of Opere, the line dedicated to the metodo classico. The winery also offers still wines, both white and red, and high-quality grappas.
Over the years, Villa Sandi wines have received important accolades, such as the Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso awarded to Cartizze La Rivetta for fourteen consecutive years. In addition, the winery has been included in the prestigious World’s Best Vineyards ranking.
